Donate Instruments or Equipment
In-kind donations of musical instruments and equipment help us keep music instruction accessible and engaging for all students. If you're considering donating an instrument, please note that we are currently in need of the following:
- Digital pianos and high-quality keyboards (less than 10 years old)
- High-quality violins in any size except 1/4 size (we are not in need of student-grade violins)
- Guitar amplifiers, in good working condition and under 10 years old
- Acoustic drum kits of any age (please note: we do not accept electronic drum kits)
We strive to ensure that all donated items meet the needs of our student and faculty, so donations are evaluated for quality and functionality. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept:
- Pianos or keyboards over 10 years old (note: Steinway pianos over 10 years of age will be considered based on their condition. Also, CMS is not in the position to incur the cost of tuning or moving a donated piano)
- Student-grade or damaged instruments
- Sheet music or music instructional books
- Electronic drum kits
